Wildcats championship coach Trevor Gleeson signs with the Milwaukee Bucks as an assistant coach
Former Perth Wildcats coach Trevor Gleeson has been hired by the Milwaukee Bucks as an assistant coach despite being rumoured to be in line for the head coaching role at the Illawarra Hawks and the Adelaide 36ers throughout this NBL season.
Gleeson, who recently left the Toronto Raptors earlier this year after being with them for two seasons, has re-united with Adrian Griffin and his staff at Milwaukee as they look to challenge for their third NBA championship in the club’s history.
The five-time NBL title winning coach embarks his second stint in the NBA after holding an impressive career in the NBL, with successive periods at the Wildcats (2013-2021) the Townsville Crocodiles (2006-2011) and the Melbourne Tigers (2011-2012).
The Milwaukee Bucks currently sit second in the Eastern Conference, boasting a record of 22 wins and eight losses so far this season.
