The NBA has announced the starters for the 73rd NBA All-Star game, based off the results of the official fan vote.
Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetekounmpo headlines the group from the Eastern Conference, notching his eighth All-Star selection and being named team captain after receiving the highest voting tally.
Named alongside Antetekounmpo is reigning MVP Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, five-time All-Star Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, Indiana’s own Tyrese Haliburton, and longtime fan favourite Damien Lillard.
In the Western Conference, Lakers star LeBron James leads the charge, being named team captain in his record-breaking 20th All-Star nod.
Kevin Durant follows James in the voting, representing the Phoenix Suns in his 14th All-Star game.
Rounding out the West starters is two-time MVP Nikola Jokić of the Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks phenom Luka Dončić, and the Oklahoma City Thunder’s young gun Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
