As well as bringing in millions of viewers for the on-field action, the Super Bowl is renowned for its advertising during breaks.
Reports suggest that companies pay approximately $10 million AUD for a 30-second spot on the CBS broadcast, with the US network airing the game to an audience of over 100 million people.
All of the big companies love getting their products out to such a wide audience, and they go all out with recruiting big names and Hollywood stars to feature in commercials under their brands.
