Leading broadcaster Scotty Stevenson is switching from interviewing former All Black Israel Dagg to becoming his teammate, with the duo pairing up on SENZ Breakfast from Monday, 6 May.

Stevenson has been prominent in the New Zealand sports media scene for more than 15 years, with his skill set ranging from play-by-play commentary, pundit, interviewer, talented all-round broadcaster, and writer across a wide range of media.

“It’s a real honour to be trusted with this role by the SENZ team and to work with Izzy, who I have known and admired for a long time, will be an absolute joy,” Stevenson said.

“We know how passionate sports fans are in New Zealand and how hungry they are to start their mornings with comprehensive conversations and in-depth analysis with the game breakers and news makers.

“We’re going to have a lot of fun, absolutely, celebrating what we all love while discussing the biggest issues in sport,” Scotty Stevenson said.

His new co-presenter Izzy Dagg said he can’t wait to team up with an old mate.

“Scotty and I have known each other for years. He’s a great friend and I’m pumped that we’ll be working together every morning and talking sport with Aotearoa,” Dagg said.

SENZ Content Manager Reuben Bradley said the SENZ team was thrilled to welcome in a broadcaster of the class of Scotty Stevenson.

“He brings a great versatility across multiple sports, a warm personality, and a cheeky sense of humour that will keep Izzy on his toes every morning.

“Izzy and Scotty will deliver a high-paced and entertaining breakfast show, that keeps New Zealanders informed and entertained on all the big sporting issues,” Bradley said.

Scotty and Izzy will team up with Sam Hewat, who will move to the Executive Producer role for SENZ Breakfast.

The multi-talented Riccardo Ball is picking up the reins as Executive Producer of Mornings With Ian Smith, alongside a regular on-air role.
