SEN’s Scott Sattler has heaped further praise on Brisbane’s Reece Walsh for another stunning performance, predicting the superstar fullback will become the game’s richest ever player.
Walsh, 21, led the Broncos to a 34-10 win over the Tigers on the weekend with two tries of his own and playing an influential role in others.
He fought through a debilitating cramp and even threw up on the field, giving his all in the win.
There was plenty of talk earlier this year that Walsh would sign a longer term deal imminently, but as it stands, he's only signed until the end of 2025.
Sattler is certain his next deal will be a huge one.
“Reece Walsh, I think he’s one of those players that if you don’t follow the Broncos, I think you’ll still turn on the TV to watch him play,” Sattler told SENQ Breakfast.
“There are very few players who make you do that… I think he’ll earn the most money we’ve seen in Rugby League through his career.
“He’ll be the richest rugby league player of all time. He’ll eventually sign the biggest contract we’ve ever seen, it could be $1.5 or $1.6 million… he’s 21 years of age, which is the freakish part of it.”
