Collingwood has been hit hard by the injury bug despite their good on-field form that hasn’t seen them lose since Round 2.
Ahead of their Round 10 clash against Adelaide, the Pies have given updates on 14 listed players who are currently managing concerns.
First up is Jamie Elliott who missed Sunday’s win over West Coast. As reported by SEN’s Sam Edmund, the forward has a minor vascular issue, which the club says is treatable.
The club hopes will now put the goalkicker on a modified training program for the next 2-3 weeks.
The rest of the update was delivered by the club on their website.
Jeremy Howe is expected to miss two to three weeks after injuring his groin against the Eagles.
Harvey Harrison, who also failed to play out Sunday’s game, will be assessed for Round 10 after suffering an ankle injury.
The other player that failed to play out the game was Jack Bytel who has entered concussion protocols.
Other players who will miss Round 10 include Beau McCreery (concussion) and Brody Mihocek (hamstring). The duo are expected to return in Round 11 or 12.
Two players that could return for Saturday against the Crows are Jordan De Goey (groin) and Tom Mitchell (foot) with the midfield duo set to be assessed this week.
Young options Josh Carmichael (concussion), Tew Jiath (syndesmosis), Aiden Begg (knee – but not ACL), Oscar Steene (toe) and Josh Eyre (hamstring) are also unavailable for selection.
The other player to receive a mention is key forward Dan McStay who has completed a strong block of training after his ACL injury. The next step for McStay is entering contact training.
