Melbourne winger Ed Langdon missed Sunday’s shock loss to West Coast after flying to London for his sister’s wedding.

Langdon travelled to England last week and is expected to be back for Demons training on Wednesday.

The rapid-fire trip was arranged and ticked off by football boss Alan Richardson and coach Simon Goodwin.

After playing in Round 9, Langdon missed the following weekend’s clash with West Coast in Perth due to personal reasons.

The trip comes a month after Geelong granted permission for Irish recruit Oisin Mullin to jet to Rome for his sister’s wedding.

Langdon has been incredibly durable for much of his AFL career, playing close to every game across the past three seasons.

He consistently plays more than 90 per cent game time.

The Demons host St Kilda at the MCG this Sunday.
