Aaron Naughton has dodged a knee reconstruction in a huge relief for the Western Bulldogs.
Scans this morning revealed an MCL strain that is expected to keep the star forwarded sidelined for 4-6 weeks.
It is perhaps the best possible result for Naughton, who looked in serious trouble when he was caught in a tackle in the first half of Thursday night’s loss to Sydney.
Instead of 12 months out the game, the Dogs are hopeful the goalkicker will return to action after their Round 15 bye.
