Josh Jenkins has listed his six positives from Round 13 so far.

The first seven games of the weekend have been assessed and the positives have been plucked.

See JJ’s list below:

6 - We don’t have to see the Suns and Saints play again
(Tongue planted firmly in cheek)

“I don’t think anyone else would be upset that game is over,” Jenkins laughed on SEN Breakfast.

“I understand that the 17,000 in the house were excited for the Saints to get the four points, and the four points is what you wish for.

“I thought that goal at the end of the second quarter was going to be the game winner.

“It’s over, and thank christ for that.”

5 - Kanga, Kanga, Kanga

“I was a little bit lukewarm about their maiden win of the season, but I’ve got to get around the Roos.

“Zac Fisher has found himself a role, Harry Sheezel was superb, co-captain Jy Simpkin was back to his best, Luke Davies-Uniacke looks like a player who is keen enough to stick around.

“It was good to see Nick Larkey dominate and good to see Cam Zurhaar play a good game.”

4 - Hipwood goes big

“A man that everyone wants to slam and nobody wants to give some love to.

“I’ll do it on everyone else’s behalf - Eric Hipwood, he absolutely took over.

“20 disposals, 13 marks, six goals. I thought he was the most impactful player on the ground.

“Lachie Neale will get the three Brownlow votes, because that’s just how the Brownlow works, but I think Hipwood was the best player on the ground.

“I think people absolutely love jumping on his back and giving him a kicking, but I haven’t heard anyone get around him and give him some love.”

3 - TDK is the new King

“It used to be ‘SDK’ as the number one seed in the De Koning family.

“That mantle has changed hands. Tom De Koning is the number one De Koning in the family at the moment.

“24 disposals, 17 of those contested, 11 clearances, dominated the game when it was somewhat up for debate.

“He was absolutely superb and is a number one ruckman in the purest sense.”

2 - McKay Bowl… finally

“I thought it was great to watch the back and forth, the build-up, the interview with the parents.

“Ben and Harry finally colliding and playing on each other. Ben did a pretty good job. Harry kicked an early goal from a free kick, which was there, and then reminded him not to be hanging on.

“It’s done now. Harry gets the points.”

1 - The Sydney on-ball brigade

“The ruck, the ruck-rover, the rover, the centreman and the wingman.

“If you wanted to pick an All-Australian as a perfectly constructed AFL team, Brodie Grundy could go in as the ruckman, Chad Warner is there, Isaac Heeney is in there, Errol Gulden is the number two rated wingman in the competition.

“You could plug in their midfield to the AA team.”
