Australia have cruised to 3-0 at the T20 World Cup with a huge nine-wicket win over Namibia at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua and Barbuda.
The Aussies set the game up by doing some serious damage with the ball after Mitchell Marsh won the toss and elected to field, restricting Namibia to 72 from 17 overs.
While Mitchell Starc was rested, that didn’t stop the Aussies from making early breakthroughs as Josh Hazlewood (2/18 off four) and Marcus Stoinis (2/9 off three) opened up.
Every Australian bowler chipped in with wickets, but it was Adam Zampa (4/12 off four overs) who bamboozled the Namibians most, Pat Cummins (1/16 off three) and Nathan Ellis (1/12 off three) were the other bowlers for the victors.
Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus (36 off 43) was the only shining light for his side as no other batter got past 10.
Australia made light work of the target of 73, reaching 1/74 from 5.4 overs.
David Warner (20 off eight) was the batter to lose his wicket while Travis Head (34 off 17 not out) and Marsh (18 off nine not out) made sure of the victory early in the piece.
Australia is now on top of Group B with three wins from three games and a huge net run rate advantage of +3.580. Scotland is in second place in the group ahead of Namibia in third, England in fourth and Oman in fifth.
The Aussies next play on Sunday morning (AEST) against Scotland at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground in Saint Lucia.
