Gold Coast Titans veteran half Kieran Foran has heaped praised on rising star Beau Fermor after another outstanding showing in his side’s 20-16 victory over the Cronulla Sharks on Friday night.
Fermor was in contention for the man of the match award with an impressive 177 run metres and five tackle breaks, crucial in helping his team to the narrow victory.
The 25-year-old’s form in 2024 is even more impressive considering his history with ACL injuries over the last couple of years and how poorly the Titans started the season as a team.
Fermor’s form has brought him into conversations for Billy Slater’s Queensland Maroons side for Game III and his experienced teammate confidently backed him to get the nod.
“(He’s) an incredibly tough guy, a tough individual both physically and mentally,” Foran said on SEN 1170 Mower’s Club.
“He puts so much into his craft, he’s versatile, he can play back row and centre both equally as well.
“As you saw last night, his desperation to save some tries was quite incredible.
“He’s a rep player, no doubt, I can see him playing for Queensland in this next game, if it’s not this next it’ll certainly in the years to come.
“He’s a special one.”
