Who were the six best players in Round 18?

Nathan Buckley assessed each game on SEN Breakfast and came up with his top six performers.

Bucks was keen to give the forwards some love this weekend.

Read their thoughts below:

Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (Western Bulldogs)

“The Dogs struck me and Jamarra was excellent,” Buckley said on SEN Breakfast.

“To kick his first goal about five minutes before half-time but was then significant in the back half of that game, kicking four goals.

“He was good in the air and on the ground was able to have a great impact.”

Rhylee West (Western Bulldogs)

“The other one was Rhylee West. He’s a disrupter, a forward who does a defensive role on an intercept marking player.

“The work that he does off the ball us huge for the rest of his teammates. It’s great to see him get a lick of the ice cream and kick four goals himself.”

Cornes added: “He’s a midfielder, he has ambitions to play in the midfield and what he’s been able to do is carve out a niche for himself while they still have ‘Libba’, ‘Bont’, Treloar and players that are clearly ahead of him.

“At some point I think he’s going to play that Tom Papley role where he goes to centre bounce, can win clearances and he’s kicked 23 goals for the season.

“He was excellent on the weekend.”

Logan McDonald and Tom Papley (Sydney)

“The Swans were huge. I thought Logan McDonald deserves some flowers for his four-goal performance.

“He stood up and he was excellent along with Tom Papley who kicked four of his own.”

Toby Greene (GWS)

“Toby Greene was absolutely excellent with his four goals for the Giants plus 17 touches, 10 score involvements and four goal assists.”

Kysaiah Pickett (Melbourne)

“The other player that stood out as a centre bounce player who went forward was Kysaiah Pickett.

“When he plays with that sort of energy, with that sort of drive, he creates so much for himself and his teammates.

“He hit the scoreboard a couple of times and was so dangerous in the front half.”
