Back for another year, the SEN.com.au team gives you an insight into how every game will play out across the weekend.

Labelling something a ‘certainty’ in any sport is fraught with danger.

But we’ll attempt to find some anyway.

Here is what we consider certainties for the Round 20 Friday night clash between Carlton and Port Adelaide.

Carlton

Curnow to kick 2+ goals

Bank this one every week.

The Coleman leader has kicked at least two goals in all but one game this season and is coming off bags of three and four in the last fortnight.

Curnow also kicked three the last time the sides met in Round 12 despite having just nine disposals.

He’s also kicked at least three goals in every game he’s played at Marvel Stadium this season.

2+ should be an easy get with the amount of footy that’ll be headed his way on Friday night.

Walsh to have 25+ disposals

Sam Walsh has had at least 25 disposals in four of his last five games, and he hasn’t even been in the best of form either.

Last time against the Power, Walsh helped himself to 34 touches and eight clearances as much of Port Adelaide’s effort went into stopping Patrick Cripps.

If Cripps is minded at stoppages again, expect Walsh to operate with relative freedom and reach the 25-touch marker.

Port Adelaide

Georgiades to kick 2+ goals

Port Adelaide forward Mitch Georgiades has been in solid goal kicking form of late.

He has kicked 18 goals in his last six games including a haul of four against the Blues back in Round 12.

During that time he has helped himself to goal returns of 4, 3, 3, 5 and 3, with one goalless outing.

Over his career he has kicked 11 goals in four games against the Blues - his best return of any opponent.

With Jacob Weitering likely to take on Charlie Dixon, it leaves Brodie Kemp to match up on Georgiades and he could make the most of that.

His lowest tally against Carlton has been two and we’re expecting he will at least get to that marker under the roof at Marvel.

Wines to have 20+ disposals and 3+ clearances

Ollie Wines has been back finding plenty of the footy in recent weeks.

He has had 30, 21 and 32 in his last three outings which followed three straight weeks of below 20.

Wines played in a midfield alongside Connor Rozee, Zak Butters, Willem Drew and Jason Horne-Francis against Richmond last week and still had 32 touches and four clearances.

The Brownlow Medallist has had 25 or more touches in eight of Port’s last 11 Marvel stadium games and has averaged 28 in his last four against the Blues.

Port will need his hustle and bustle and he should deliver by being busy around the stoppage, but we’ll drop him down to 20 and add in three clearances just to be safe.
