Back for another year, the SEN.com.au team gives you an insight into how every game will play out across the weekend.

Labelling something a ‘certainty’ in any sport is fraught with danger.

But we’ll attempt to find some anyway.

Here is what we consider certainties for the Round 21 Friday night games between Footscray and Melbourne as well as West Coast and Gold Coast

Footscray versus Melbourne

Treloar to have 30+ touches

Milestone man Adam Treloar is primed for another big game for Footscray.

He has had 109 disposals in his last three games and is averaging a league-high 32.3 touches across the campaign.

Treloar has 30 or more touches in the last five Doggies night games and overall has reached that threshold on 13 occasions in 2024.

It seems an obvious choice, but we want to tip our hat to the former Pie and Giant who plays his 250th game.

Fritsch to kick 2+ goals

Bayley Fritsch is usually a dependable scoring option for Melbourne.

He kicked two goals against GWS last week and has booted eight majors in his last four outings.

For the 2024 season he has kicked 37.20 from 19 games to lead the way for the Demons.

Fritsch went goalless when the two sides last met in Round 1 but did kick three behinds so wasn’t short of chances.

He has kicked 21.17 in 10 games against the Dees career-wise and we feel he’ll finish at least two shots on Friday night at Marvel, a venue at which he has kicked three or more goals in three of his last four outings.

West Coast versus Gold Coast

Waterman to kick 2+ goals

Jake Waterman has been amazing in 2024 for the Eagles as their key forward option.

He has kicked at least two goals in five of his last six games and booted four majors the last time he played Gold Coast in Round 7.

With 44 goals from 16 games so far, Waterman is averaging 2.75 majors a game.

He should at least kick two come Friday night.

Rowell to have 20+ disposals

Matt Rowell loves playing against the Eagles.

The gun clearance-winner has picked up maximum Brownlow votes in two of the last three games against West Coast and helped himself to 22 disposals and two goals when the teams played in Round 7.

He’s also picked up 20 or more touches in five of his last six games.

Expect him to make that six from seven on Friday night.
