David King and Sam Edmund have named their top four seeds following Round 22 of the 2024 AFL season.

King and Whateley will each rank the four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.

With Whateley in Paris covering the Olympics, Edmund filled in for another week to deliver his seedings alongside King.

“One thing’s for sure - they’ll change again next week,” said King.

The seedings will be updated as the season goes on via SEN’s Whateley.

KING

1 - Brisbane

“I still think Brisbane are the best-placed team to win it,” said King.

“Seriously healthy, but they just need to get themselves back in the four.

“It was a loss they didn’t need to have. Their last three months have been brilliant.”

2 - GWS

“I think they’re brilliantly coached.

“There’s an anger about this team that’s palpable.

“I love their want to force their game on to you. That will take them a long way.”

3 - Sydney

“I’m still maintaining that (they are a chance).

“I didn’t love what I saw, but Warner and Heeney went crazy to get them over the line.”

4 - Geelong

“At four I’ve got the Cats because they’re the most bankable of the teams that I’m not sure about.

“Well-coached, well-drilled, in reasonable health and have got star-factor players that perform every week.”

EDMUND

1 - Brisbane

“They remain my number one seed as well,” said Edmund.

2 - Sydney

“I think Collingwood are playing some really good footy, that’s why I’m paying a lot of attention to Sydney’s performance.

“I think this is the circuit-breaker they needed, the sign they needed and (a sign of) what they can build on.”

3 - GWS

“With some guns to return and they are flying.

“I think they are the Real McCoy.”

4 - Hawthorn

“I’ve only been doing this for a few weeks, but I’ve been waiting to put this team into fourth.

“Finally I can because they are eligible. They’re in the eight and they’re in the seedings.”
