Ben Hayes has rated the stable’s best winning chance for the weekend.
The Lindsay Park team have a host of runners competing on Saturday with runners at Moonee Valley, Morphettville and Randwick.
Speaking on SENTrack’s Giddy Up with Gareth Hall, Hayes previewed the chances of boom three-year-old filly Bold Bastille who returns to the races for her toughest test to date in the Carlyon Stakes.
“Really happy with her, she had a little spin around The Valley on Tuesday with Jamie Kah and she really picked up the bit and quickened nicely,” Hayes said.
“We’re happy with her, she gets in with 50.5kgs, she’s drawn barrier six and she's taking on the older horses for the first time but I think it’s a great race to give us a good guide to see how we place her going forward as the Moir in a couple of weeks is a race that we would like to get her to.
“She’s a very good horse and she’s only let us down once and that was first-up after a little set back but as a two-year-old she won four stakes race and you can’t do too much more and this would probably be the hardest race she’s run so we’re throwing her in the deep end but she deserves it.
“All her work at home has been good and we can’t fault her, with the weight to her advantage hopefully she is too quick for them.”
Bold Bastille is the current $3 favourite with Sportsbet in the 1000m feature.
