The 2024 All-Australian team has officially been announced at the AFL Awards night at Melbourne’s Centrepiece.

Along with a raft of individual awards, the competition’s best 22 was revealed.

After much conjecture, Western Bulldogs superstar Marcus Bontempelli was named the side’s captain ahead of Carlton's Patrick Cripps who was named vice-captain.

The most represented club in the team was minor premiers Sydney who had four players honoured in Nick Blakey, Errol Gulden, Isaac Heeney and Chad Warner.

There were several first time honourees with Blakey, Jacob Weitering, Warner, Jake Waterman, Jesse Hogan, Dylan Moore and Adam Treloar earning maiden selections.

Luke Ryan, Dayne Zorko, Dan Houston, Gulden, Nick Daicos, Caleb Serong, Heeney, Lachie Whitfield and Zak Butters all earned second blazers while Max Gawn (seven), Bontempelli (six), Jeremy McGovern (five), Cripps (four), Jeremy Cameron (four) and Lachie Neale (four) all added another notch to their impressive records.
