Leading form analyst Dean Watling has given a huge push for Sequestered at Rosehill on Saturday.
The James Cummings-trained mare has been consistent without winning this preparation and Watling thinks she’s found the right race to break the drought on the weekend.
With Nash Rawiller in the saddle, Watling hopes the senior hoop uses barrier four and puts her in a more forward position over the 1500m trip in the second race of the day.
If Rawiller does that, Sequestered will be winning (according to Watling).
“This is absolutely D-Day for Sequestered here at Rosehill,” Watling told SENTrack.
“This horse has a beautiful set up and I think it should be favourite, I know Vivy Air is a good horse but Nash Rawiller has every possible opportunity to land in the 1-1 from gate four.
“I think if Nash can get him in the 1-1, this horse wins the race, been unlucky in the last two starts and last time out he got back to last from gate 7 and his sectionals were brilliant.
“I just think that Nash has to use the gate up to 1500m and if she’s 1-1 after 200m I think she wins the race.
“She’s one of the better bets on the program.”
Sequestered has been backed into the $3.20 favouritism since Watling’s push with Vivy Air now on the second line of betting for James McDonald at $3.30.
