Luke Hodge has made his predictions for all four finals ahead of a blockbuster weekend of footy.

While the Hawthorn great is tipping the four favourites, he believes each game is a "toss of the coin" and could go either way.

See his thoughts on each game below:

Port Adelaide versus Geelong

“I’m thinking Port Adelaide at home. There are questions over whether their style can stand up in finals considering they were straight sets last year, they’ve lost their last two finals at Adelaide Oval and Geelong are a team you can never count out,” Hodge told SENQ.

“But I’m just thinking they’ve got the home ground advantage and a star-studded midfield, I’m going to lean towards Port Adelaide with no confidence at all because of what Geelong can do.”

Tip: Port Adelaide

Western Bulldogs versus Hawthorn

“This is a real arm wrestle. Since Round 11 these have been the form teams of the competition. The fact that they’re sitting sixth and seventh is amazing.”

“What worries me for the Hawks is the Dogs have Bontempelli, Liberatore, Richards, Treloar – bigger bodied midfielders when the conditions don’t look like they’re going to be great.

“The Dogs’ talls will concern the smaller Hawthorn defence. I’m going to lean towards the Dogs. They have that experience and only a handful of those Hawthorn blokes have played finals.”

Tip: Western Bulldogs

Sydney versus GWS Giants

“Sydney should win this. They’ve got the home final, they’ve rested a few blokes, they’ve got a midfield that can tear a game apart.”

“Their questions are their key forwards and whether they can kick a winning score. You can’t count the Giants out. They’re 3-0 against the Swans in finals.

“But I’m going to lean towards the Swans. They’ve done everything right, they’ve finished on top, but this will be a belter.”

Tip: Sydney

Brisbane versus Carlton

“I spoke about this battle. The Lions have the home ground advantage and the Blues have a lot of injured players they’re bringing back in. I’m wary. The Lions can’t give up patches of goals as they have in the last few weeks.”

Tip: Brisbane
