There was plenty to discuss for SENZ hosts Scotty Stevenson and Israel Dagg this week, following the first Test against the Springboks at Ellis Park, with a ton of talking points looking ahead to the rematch in Cape Town.

The US Open and Paralympics also near their conclusion, there were some interesting storylines out of the NPC and Heartland Championship, while we previewed the start of the NFL regular season.

This is the best from the week that was on Scotty & Izzy:

Tom Rennie
With the Premier League on international break this weekend, talkSPORT UK football commentator Tom Rennie joined us to recap the first three weeks of action, where City’s strong form has continued and Liverpool have shown plenty of potential without Jurgen Klopp.

Bob Harig
Sports Illustrated golf writer Bob Harig joined us on Tuesday to discuss Scottie Scheffler’s win in the season-ending Tour Championship, which added a huge chunk to his mammoth earnings in 2024.

Bird of the Year
For a bit of a change of pace, Forest & Bird chief executive Nicola Toki joined the show on Wednesday to discuss the ‘Bird of the Year’ voting, which has just got underway. We talk about the campaign, why it’s so important, its global reach, and some of the favourites for the prize in 2024.

Ali Martin
On Thursday, the guys caught up with Ali Martin, cricket writer for The Guardian UK, to discuss Brendon McCullum’s appointment to England’s white-ball cricket sides and what impact they may have on English cricket overall.

Tune into Scotty & Izzy from 6-9am weekdays on SENZ, available on the SENZ app or find your local frequency here.
