Caleb Serong has won a second straight Doig Medal as Fremantle’s best and fairest player.

The 23-year-old midfielder polled 240 votes to beat Andrew Brayshaw (231) who again finished second as he did in 2023 after winning in 2022.

Rising young gun Hayden Young (200) was third with key forward Josh Treacy (185) and small forward Sam Switkowski (168) rounding out the top five. Jordan Clark also polled 168 votes but Switkowski was given fifth spot on countback as he polled in more games.

Serong adds the 2024 Freo B&F to his second All-Australian blazer after winning the Doig and landing his first AA berth last year.

He becomes just the sixth player to win multiple Dockers best and fairest awards, joining Matthew Pavlich (6), Peter Bell (3), Nat Fyfe (2), Aaron Sandilands (2) and Lachie Neale (2).

Other award winners on the night included Josh Draper who won the Beacon Award as the most promising young player, captain Alex Pearce who won the Player’s Player Award and Josh Corbett who was named Best Clubman.
