Sydney defender Robbie Fox faces a nervous wait ahead of selection for Saturday’s Grand Final against Brisbane.

Fox came into the team for last Friday’s Preliminary Final against Port Adelaide after captain Callum Mills was out due to injury.

But with Mills pushing for a recall at Wednesday’s main training session where he put his injured hamstring through a fitness test, Fox admits he has some nerves about which way selection will go.

“I think so (that it does create some nerves), a little bit,” Fox told SEN SA Breakfast.

“I think every week in footy you worry about your own performance and if you're going to be in the team and whatnot.

“At the moment, because our list is pretty healthy, there's always going to be guys fighting for a spot.

“There's been a few unlucky guys who missed out in the first few finals, and I'm sure it's going to be the same this weekend.

“There is a little bit of anxiety, but I think everyone's training hard and just focusing on what they can control.

“Hopefully, we will have a decision by tonight.”

Fox was subbed on late in the win over the Power for Logan McDonald and had three disposals and one mark.

The teams for Saturday’s Grand Final will officially be named at 6:20 pm (AEST) on Thursday.
