SEN has solidified its position as Australia’s home of sport, achieving a record number of listeners in both Sydney and Brisbane, as well as maintaining its strong position in Melbourne.
In Melbourne, SEN 1116am remains a powerhouse in sports radio, maintaining a solid 3.9% share All People 10+, a streaming share of 7.9% All People 10+, and a cumulative audience of 385,000.
On the back of the AFL Final Series, SEN 1116am continues to be the station of choice for passionate sports fans, with Breakfast with Garry Lyon, Tim Watson, Kane Cornes, Nathan Buckley, and David King continuing to captivate early-morning audiences, securing a 4.1% share and is the second highest commercial radio streaming station in Melbourne with a share of 6.5%.
In Sydney, SEN 1170am achieved its highest audience since launch, with its cumulative audience increasing by 17,000 to a total of 155,000 people.
The increase was spearheaded by SEN’s Breakfast show ‘Vossy & Brandy’, which increased its cumulative audience to 91,000 – up 13,000 listeners.
In Brisbane, an additional 14,000 listeners have found relatively newcomer SENQ 693am, delivering its highest cumulative audience since launch with 61,000 listeners. This growth reflects the station’s expanding presence in Queensland’s sports radio market, the success of the Brisbane Lions and the announcement of former Brisbane Bronco Corey Parker joining SENQ 693am Breakfast in 2025.
“These strong results across the country reflect SEN’s commitment to delivering comprehensive coverage and analysis across both the NRL and AFL finals series,” SEN Group Radio Director Sam Thompson said.
"We look forward to continuing that commitment across the upcoming AFL Trade and Free Agency period, as well as the multitude of sports that we will be covering across the summer – including Spring Racing, AFLW, NBL, NFL, golf, netball and cricket.”
