The Group 1 Caulfield Guineas for the three-year-olds will be run over 1600m at Caulfield on Saturday.
Griff won last year, Godolphin pair Golden Mile and Anamoe won the previous two seasons, after the likes of Ole Kirk, Super Seth and The Autumn Sun before them.
Read our analysis of the race below:
No prizes for guessing who is on top here.
Broadsiding looks an absolute star in the making and has this race at his mercy.
Anything to the contrary of a Broadsiding win can obviously occur given this is a race full of three-year-old colts, but he’ll more than likely lob for his fourth Group 1.
He has been likened to The Autumn Sun who stomped his rivals in the 2018 Caulfield Guineas.
If you aren’t interested in the short price of the favourite, there’s some fun to be had with place bets and exotics.
Angel Capital ($9.50) has won two on the trot and building nicely out to the mile. Anything $2 or more seems decent value if you’re playing the place.
Mayfair ($7.50) is knocking on the door and it’s hard to fault the form of Evaporate ($11) who is also a place bet at around $2.25.
Rue De Royale ($67) is one of only three horses who has been out to 1600m (alongside Broadsiding and Evaporate) and can run a nice race at enormous odds.
Throw them all in for trifectas, first fours and same race multis.
1 - Broadsiding
4 - Angel Capital
5 - Mayfair
3 - Evaporate
2 - Rue De Royale
