Former Australian cricketer Michael Kasprowicz is this week’s guest on This Is Your Journey – thanks to Tobin Brothers.

The Queenslander enjoyed an impressive career for his state and country across almost two decades.

Kasprowicz played 38 Tests for Australia after making his debut aged 24 in 1996 and he’d go on to take 113 Test wickets at an average of 32.88.

The paceman’s best career moment came in the 1997 Ashes series against England where he took 7/36 at the Oval. Eight years later in 2005, Kasprowicz was involved in another famous Ashes moment after almost leading his side to victory with the bat at Edgbaston until he was unluckily given out with the Aussies going down by two runs.

Kasprowicz also played 43 ODIs for his country taking 67 wickets at 24.98 and played 237 First Class games for Queensland, Essex, Leicestershire and Glamorgan taking 944 wickets at 26.52.

He retired from the game in February 2008 and would go on to serve as a director at Cricket Australia.

He discussed his playing career and much more in this week’s episode.
