He says Port Adelaide will not be proceeding with the deal which leaves Dan Houston in limbo.

Negotiations are ramping up between Collingwood, Port Adelaide and Gold Coast about a huge three-way trade that could unlock this year’s trade period, reports SEN regular and Nine’s Tom Morris.
The deal has long been discussed with Collingwood’s John Noble heading to the Suns, Port Adelaide’s Dan Houston going to the Magpies and Gold Coast’s Jack Lukosius going to the Power.
Given all three of those players are valued differently, a litany of picks is set to be involved to get the deal done.
As well as those picks, Morris revealed that Gold Coast’s Rory Atkins – who has one year remaining on his deal – looks as if he’s heading to the Power along with Lukosius.
With Collingwood small forward Joe Richards also hoping to join the Power this off-season, Morris believes there’s every chance the Power land him, Lukosius and Atkins as part of the deal along with picks 13, 29 and a future third-rounder.
The deal would also see Collingwood’s future first-round pick head to Gold Coast in exchange for pick 13, which would eventually end up at the Power for Houston.
Atkins, 30, played just three games for the Suns in 2024. The running defender has played 138 career games but only 37 of those have come for Gold Coast since he signed a five-year deal with the club in the 2020 off-season.
This would see Carlton miss out on Houston, likely taking their picks to the draft.
