Veteran player agent Liam Pickering from Bravo Talent Management has huge faith in delisted forward Curtis Taylor.
Taylor was axed by North Melbourne last month after 76 games for the club, and Pickering who manages the 24-year-old, says that the delisting came as a shock after the forward played eight senior games last season despite battling injury.
Pickering says that there has been interest in his client as a delisted free agent and he hopes that the talented player earns a second AFL opportunity.
“There is some interest in Curtis, it wouldn't be as a trade because he’s a delisted free agent,” Pickering told AFL Trade Radio.
“Because of that, you can sort of go onto a list at any time. He’s a really talented player.
“Hopefully a few more clubs than one or two (will be keen on him) and I hope that’s the case.
“He's a talented player, he's 24, I've got a lot of belief in Curtis as a footballer. This (getting delisted) was a shake-up, but he's worked his backside off.
“Because he had a calf injury late in the year, instead of having a break, he’s been training. He's a kid I reckon at 24 will be ready to hit his best football going forward.”
Former Sydney midfielder Dan Hannebery wants to see Taylor picked up by the Swans and Pickering agreed that the Harbour City and John Longmire’s side would be a good fit for the forward.
“Yes, it would be nice, the Swans would be a good fit for him, actually,” Pickering said.
“Don’t worry, we’ve had that discussion with their list manager Chris Keane.”
Before his struggles last season, Taylor played 19 games in 2021, 22 games in 2022 and 16 games in 2023.
