St Kilda is targeting Carlton defender Brodie Kemp, reports Seven’s Mitch Cleary.
Kemp, 23, was drafted at pick No. 17 in the 2019 Draft by then Carlton list manager Stephen Silvagni, who now holds that role at St Kilda.
While Kemp is contracted until the end of next season, Cleary says they’re chasing Kemp as a third-tall defender to replace Josh Battle who they lost as an unrestricted free agent to Hawthorn.
The Saints completed a deal earlier on Tuesday sending pick 27 to Brisbane for picks 32 and 45.
Kemp played 21 games in 2024 with his last three games coming as a forward due to injuries to Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay. He booted four majors in Round 23 against West Coast in that position.
The 192cm defender has played 44 games in the Navy Blue.
