Premiership Brisbane star Cam Rayner is happy to put speculation about his future to bed early, saying he wants to be a Lion for the long-term.
The 25-year-old is one of 2025’s hottest free agents, with Kane Cornes on Wednesday listing him as one of the three he is most intrigued by next year.
Rayner however is confident his footy future will be with the Lions.
“It does get a little bit interesting. I feel like this has been happening the last couple of years where you see the boys like Hugh (McCluggage) get the pressure put on them as well,” Rayner told SEN’s The Run Home.
“I love the footy club and I can see the footy club is in such a perfect spot at the moment and I want to stay at the Lions and play for as long as I can.
“I’m just looking forward to getting back to training and playing through next year and we’ll see how it goes from there.”
Rayner has played 140 games for the Lions since being selected with Pick 1 in the 2017 National Draft, including all 27 in 2024.
