Kane Cornes won’t be getting back into the boxing ring unless an utterly ridiculous offer comes his way.
The Port Adelaide great went down in his boxing debut against fellow AFL media personality Nathan Brown in Adelaide during this year's Gather Round, and he thinks that’ll be the only time he properly laces up the gloves.
On the back of that bout, Cornes says he was approached by a promoter recently to fight former Collingwood star and Brownlow Medallist Dane Swan in January.
Unfortunately for those hoping to see the SEN host in the ring again, Cornes explained why he wouldn’t have even accepted that fight if he were offered half a million to compete.
“I'll give you an exclusive,” Cornes told SEN Breakfast.
“I got a text message the other day ... I was offered another fight in January … it was to fight Dane Swan.
“Honestly, I wouldn't do it for half a million dollars. I wouldn't even do it.
“If someone said, here's a check for $500,000, I promise you I would not do it.”
