SENTrack’s Cam Luke has given a good push for Politely Dun in the Victoria Derby on Saturday.

The Danny O’Brien-trained stayer heads to Flemington primed for the Derby trip with his last start run suggesting the step up to the 2500m is perfect for the three-year-old.

Jumping from barrier five for jockey Damian Lane, Cam Luke believes the son of Dundeel will be rattling home in the feature race on the day.

“I said last week that he would not handle The Valley as he’ll sit back last and hit the line well and the money will come for him in the Derby,” Luke said on SENTrack.

“Now the money hasn’t come as much as I thought with it still being $11 but I think Politely Dun is the one in the Derby.

“He’s an incredibly good place bet, I think he will hit the line and I don’t know where he’ll get to in the run but he’s got a superstar jockey on.

“I think Politely Dun is the one who’s going to be hitting the line.”

Politely Dun is a $13 chance with Sportsbet on the weekend.
