Andy Maher reckons that Adelaide could be up for a chance at the flag next year.
This year saw the Crows finish in the bottom four with eight wins and 14 losses across the season.
Whilst it was a challenging year for the Crows, Maher is convinced they are determined to come out swinging ahead of the 2025 season, with a possible flag in sight.
Maher’s bold statement comes as a surprise considering the Crows are yet to finals action since their 2017 appearance.
During the off-season, the Crows have brought in Isaac Cumming as a free agent from GWS, while Alex Neal-Bullen (Melbourne) and James Peatling (GWS) joined via trade.
With some exciting new additions and holding onto Pick 4 ahead of the Draft in November, Maher is confident the Crows could bring some new energy next year.
“I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I actually think that Adelaide in a perfect world, I reckon they could see themselves contending for a flag next year”, Maher said on The Run Home.
“My view is that getting in is a big tick, but internally they’re a pretty aggressive club. They’ve gone for three ready made and they’ve still got Pick 4 up their sleeve, so I reckon they’re in a very aggressive mindset.”
