AFL great Gerard Healy believes the AFL should make a play for current CEO of the Brisbane Lions Greg Swann.
Swann’s leadership credentials are held in seriously high regard after the Brisbane boss helped lead the Lions to the ultimate success in 2024.
Regarded by many as one the best club administrators this century, Swann has held high level leadership roles at Collingwood (2000-2006), Carlton (2007-2014) and now Brisbane (2014-present) and Healy wonders whether the AFL should look to bring Swann in as a leader alongside current CEO Andrew Dillon and Head of Footy Laura Kane.
With Gillon McLachlan, Travis Auld, Steve Hocking and Kylie Rogers departing in recent times, Healy believes the AFL have a duty to pick up the phone and at least pose the question to Swann who has committed to the Lions for the upcoming season.
