RACING:

Elite-level racing continuing at the dual-Group 1 meeting at Schweppes Caulfield Thousand on Saturday.

Our best three-year-old fillies will take centre stage in the $1.5 million Schweppes Thousand Guineas where the world's leading jockey James McDonald, fresh off his record-breaking 11 win performance during Melbourne Cup week, links up with race favourite Aeliana.

Punters are set to flock to the Heath to watch the gun hoop in action where a win would see him claim a remarkable hat trick of Thousand Guineas victories in partnership with trainer Chris Waller.

Fellow Flemington competitors Another Wil and Jimmysstar will form two thirds of trainer Ciaron Maher's hot hand in the $1 million Sportsbet Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes that also includes multiple Group 1 winner Southport Tycoon.

Private Eye, Charm Stone, Gentleman Roy and Tuvalu are others likely to line up in a brilliant edition of the Group 1 handicap while Robbie Dolan rides three-year-old Bittercreek at the featherweight of 50kg.
