Australia have held off a fast-finishing Pakistan to claim the T20 series 2-0.
Thanks to a stellar five-wicket haul from Spencer Johnson, Australia were able to defend their score of 147 as they bowled Pakistan out for 134.
The Brisbane Heat fast bowler was a dominant force with the ball in hand, as Pakistan could only manage 26 runs from the four overs that he bowled.
It’s his first five wicket haul in a T20 international game of his career, with last night’s performance taking his career wicket tally for Australia to 12 from just seven matches.
In game 200 for him, Adam Zampa rocked a new haircut that caught the attention of many.
The spinner also played his part in helping Australia get the win, as he collected two wickets from his four overs bowled.
Pakistan struggled to collect runs from his bowling as well, as he only conceded the 19 runs whilst also being the culprit for two of Pakistan’s four ducks during their batting innings.
In what was a low scoring contest, the packed out SCG was still able to see some impressive batting performances.
Usman Khan was the top run scorer of the night, as he produced an impressive 52 off 38 in Pakistan’s failed run chase.
Matt Short was the highlight with the bat for the Aussies, has his 32 off 17 to kickstart their innings was the highest tally recorded from an Australia batter in the game.
Both sides will now turn their attention to Hobart where they’ll conclude the T20 series on Monday night.
This is the final white ball match for Australia before their highly anticipated test series against India gets under way in Perth on Friday.
