West Coast picked gun midfielder Bo Allan with Pick 16 in the first round of Wednesday night’s draft.
The Peel Thunder product out of Halls Head, who can also play in defence, was delighted when the Eagles read out his name.
“It was absolutely unreal,” he said on SEN WA Breakfast.
“Just listening to it then gives me the chills, that sounds pretty surreal.
“It was one of the best moments of my life.”
Allan grew up a Fremantle supporter, and with the Dockers having the next pick, he was asked if there were reservations when the Eagles selected him.
“It didn’t even cross my mind,” he replied.
“I was so stoked wth that (the Eagles), it’s the best.”

Fremantle called out the name of Murphy Reid the very next pick after Allan at 17.
The Sandringham Dragons product out of South Melbourne Districts insists he was both relieved and excited when he heard his name called.
“It’s obviously been a dream of mine come true,” he said on SEN WA Breakfast.
“I’m super excited and super pumped to get over to the west.
“You can’t really explain the feeling when it happens in the moment. It’s very surreal.
“I didn’t know where I was going to land because my range was pretty wide.
“A lot of the boys have already texted me and said they’d be looking after me.”
