Former top 10 pick and VFL star among hopefuls training at AFL clubs as SSP opens

AFL clubs with vacant list spots are free to sign players via the pre-season supplemental selection period (SSP) starting today.

At this stage, West Coast, the Western Bulldogs, Fremantle, Port Adelaide and Gold Coast have one vacant list spot, while Carlton and Essendon both have two spots to fill.

Other clubs can also open up a list spot if a player suffers a long-term injury during the pre-season.
