We asked you who the most underrated player in the AFL is and one thing is certain – Collingwood fans think all of their players meet this criteria!
Above all else, Pies midfielder Jack Crisp was voted the single most underrated player in the AFL, edging out Carlton defender Nic Newman by just five votes.
The SEN AFL Fan Survey has received thousands of responses and there’s still time to have your say on all the big talking points in footy.
We left this question wide open, allowing fans to write in however (or whatever) they wished – after all, putting underrated players in a multiple choice situation likely defeats the point.
Naturally, we received responses like “don’t know” and “me”, but over 2000 people had their say one way or the other.
Behind Crisp and Newman, Collingwood ruckman Darcy Cameron, St Kilda defender Callum Wilkie and Richmond veteran Nick Vlastuin round out the top five.
Seven Magpies received at least 10 votes, including 2023 All-Australian Josh Daicos. His brother Nick also received a few votes. So did 2024 Brownlow Medallist Patrick Cripps! Underrated!
Brisbane defender Brandon Starcevich, Port Adelaide midfielder Willem Drew, Hawthorn star Jai Newcombe, Sydney midfielder James Rowbottom and Collingwood forward Beau McCreery also received their fair share of votes.
