Who is the best midfielder in the AFL?
We asked footy fans all around the country, via the SEN AFL Fan Survey, to tell us who they believe to be the league’s elite prime mover.
We provided the names of 13 star midfielders and there were four who stood out above the rest from around 1,900 responses.
Sitting at the top of the charts is Western Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli who has received over 41 per cent of votes.
The Dogs superstar is universally loved and that shines through in the results from this survey.
Behind him in second is two-time and reigning Brownlow Medallist Patrick Cripps. The Carlton skipper has received more than 21 per cent of the votes.
Next is Collingwood jet Nick Daicos with 13.3 per cent ahead of double Brownlow winner and Brisbane co-captain Lachie Neale on 10.2 per cent.
