Richmond draftees handed numbers for 2025 as famous No.4 goes vacant

Richmond has handed out the 2025 playing numbers for the entire playing list, including the group of eight 2024 draftees.

Pick 1 Sam Lalor will wear No.22 in his debut season while Pick 7 Josh Smillie will don No.16.

Taj Hotton (Pick 12) will wear No.24, Jonty Faull (Pick 14) will wear No.26, Luke Trainor (Pick 21) will wear No.31, Harry Armstrong (Pick 23) will wear No.34 - previously worn by Jack Graham, Thomas Sims (Pick 28) will wear No.38 and Jasper Alger (Pick 58) will wear No.29 - which was worn by Shai Bolton.

Jacob Hopper has moved from 22 to No.2 (which he wore at the Giants), taking over from the retired Dylan Grimes, while Maurice Rioli Jnr has stepped into his famous father’s No.17 jumper.

Rhyan Mansell moves from 31 to No.7, which was worn by Liam Baker, and Ben Miller goes from 46 to No.12 which has been vacant since David Astbury retired. Mid-Season draftee Jacob Blight moved into the No.46 jersey after wearing 51 last season.

Campbell Gray, who is yet to debut, moved from 52 to No.50 - previously worn by Marlion Pickett.

The famous No.4 jumper, worn by retired superstar Dustin Martin, has been left vacant, as has the No.9 worn by three-time premiership captain Trent Cotchin and the No.8 which was previously worn by star forward Jack Riewoldt.
