If Jack Silvagni is named for Carlton in Round 1 of the 2025 season, it will have marked 600 days between games for the 27-year-old.

A torn ACL wiped out Silvagni’s 2024 campaign, meaning he hasn’t taken the field since Round 19 of 2023.

With all that in mind, the 115-gamer says he is sick of running laps and excited to be back in full training at the end of the month.

“I feel really good. I was able to join in on a couple of drills on camp and my load has progressed a lot since the start of September,” Silvagni told SEN Mornings.

“Knee is feeling good, body is feeling good. The recovery was a little bit slower than expected with a few hiccups here and there, been in and out of surgery a little bit.

“If everything goes well I should be able to get a couple of practice games in. Things are progressing really well.

“I should be integrated into full training hopefully by the end of the month which is really exciting because I’m sick of running laps!

“I missed the 2023 season as well because I had to get surgery on my other knee. I still haven’t played since mid-2023. It’s been a long time out. I’m not a great watcher of footy at the best of times.”

Silvagni will reportedly train in defence over summer after establishing himself at AFL level as a forward-ruck in recent years.
