David Taggart's rolling jockey seeds to start 2025

David Taggart has named his rolling jockey seeds.

The former star jockey will rank five riders on a weekly basis, with this his first edition for 2025.

With racing taking place over the Christmas period and into the new year, Taggart has run his eyes over the jockey ranks and has ranked his top five seeds.

5. Daniel Stackhouse

“He's riding winner after winner, he rode a winner in Geelong and one at Flemington on New Years Day ... he's number five,” Taggart told SENTrack.

4. Jamie Mott

“He's a two-time Group 1 winning jockey now, he rode a metro treble the other day, he's ridden six metro winners in his last two or three meetings.”

3. Blake Shinn

“He wants to pass 200 Melbourne winners ... he rode a treble at Seymour towards the end of the year ... he's getting great rides.”

2. Nash Rawiller

“Another who is riding winner after winner. He's out now though for a month with a dislocated shoulder so I wish Nash all the best.”
