He sat parked at Hamilton and boxed on to run fourth behind the smart Metro Assassin and Soho Americano in a fast last half of 55.2. It feels like the right form here.

Dawson was very good winning a heat of this series at Bendigo, was inconvenienced at a crucial stage before that at Cranbourne and turned in a great first-up Aussie run on Hunter Cup night. Back row is hard at Ararat, but having a small win play in the feature.
