Round 1 continues in the NRL with six matches remaining in the split round thanks to the Las Vegas showcase.
The action resumes on Thursday night with the Sydney Roosters hosting the Brisbane Broncos at Allianz Stadium.
SEN’s Greg Alexander and Andrew Voss gave their tips for the final games in the opening round.
Voss: “I’m tipping the Broncos for tonight.”
Alexander: “Spencer Leniu isn’t there, both the Butcher boys aren’t there for the Sydney Roosters,” Alexander said on SEN 1170 Breakfast.
V: “I’m getting on the Tigers rickshaw right off the bat. Not for the season but just for this week.”
A: “I’m going to follow you. I’m also going to go for the Tigers. Kalyn Ponga from the Knights does worry me a bit.”
V: “I am going with the embattled Dolphins but I can understand there being distractions.”
A: “I’m going to stick with my tip and go with the Dolphins over South Sydney. Souths are struggling.
“Jamie Humphreys with a good game might be able to finish off Lewis Dodd’s short NRL career (at South Sydney).”
V: “It’s a sellout. I’m as intrigued in the Dragons as any team this weekend given their new look. I am tipping the Bulldogs.”
A: “I found this one the toughest but I’m going to go for the Dogs in a tight one. Kurt Mann is back for the Bulldogs and he missed some important games at the end of last season. He’s a vital player.”
V: “I’m going to go for the Sea Eagles. I think Tom Trbojevic will score a hat-trick.”
A: “I’m leaning towards the home team and that means Manly will win. I’m still undecided on the Cowboys.”
V: “You are betting against history if you are tipping against Melbourne in Round 1. They have never lost a Round 1 game under Craig Bellamy.
“I’ve got Melbourne winning."
A: “No Mitch Moses means the Eels can’t win.”
