Hawthorn’s Jack Scrimshaw is expected to have a lengthy suspension after his collision with Essendon’s Jordan Ridley.
The incident occurred within the second quarter with Scrimshaw trying to use his left arm to tackle Ridley, but his arm would collect the Essendon defender’s head resulting in concussion.

On SEN's Crunch Time, Channel 9’s Tom Morris gave the lowdown as to what Scrimshaw should expect for the incident.
“He won’t play on Thursday against Carlton anyway because he was concussed last night but he's also in some MRO trouble for that swinging left arm on Jordan Ridley,” Morris said.
“The way I read it, this is more careless than intentional.
“As a result, because Ridley got concussed, this is at least three weeks which means the AFL can say it’s three weeks and that’s it and he can challenge it.
“Or it could be three plus weeks which will be an automatic trip to the tribunal.”
When asked by Gerard Whateley to whether this was a reportable offence because of the action and result, Morris believes that centres arounds how the MRO views Scrimshaw's intent.
“Absolutely it is a reportable offence,” he said.
“I think the only debate is whether it was intentional or careless and I think it leans more careless.
“I think it’s a reportable offence regardless (of the result).”
Whateley also weighed in with his view about whether the incident between the two was a reportable offence.
“It was probably low to medium so the worst result goes from a week to three weeks off the back of the way that is in operation.”
Scrimshaw would be taken off later in the game having a head-on-head collision with Josh Battle in the second quarter which saw him bleed profusely from his head.
The young Hawk awaits the MRO's findings and will wake up today feeling worse for ware after a rough night at the office.
