CARLTON forward Elijah Hollands has returned to training as he builds towards a return to the game.
Hollands is yet to rejoin Blues teammates for structured group sessions, but has been at the club for individual skill and strength work.
After a break from the club, and upon advice, the forward has been a welcome sight at Ikon Park.
Hollands was emotional earlier this month as he told teammates he needed a period of leave for personal reasons.
He is still a considerable way off being available for senior selection, but a return to training is seen as a positive step forward.
The Blues are this week likely to regain Harry McKay for Friday’s meeting with the Western Bulldogs.
The key forward missed the defeat to Hawthorn with a virus that yesterday stopped him from training, but he’s considered a strong chance to recover in time for the crucial Dogs clash.
