Captain Crow headlines Paul Hasleby's Round 3 rankings

SEN WA’s Paul Hasleby has revealed his updated rankings ahead of Round 3 action.

Each week, Fremantle great Hasleby ranks his top five best performing players, teams and rising stars of the 2025 season on SEN WA’s The Run Home.

Player Rankings:

5: Noah Anderson

“I’ve still got Noah Anderson as number five; he had a very good first game here at Optus Stadium. He’s only played the one game but I’m happy to keep him in there because I think he’s going to have a good season.”

4: Connor Rozee

“He’s played two good games now, dominant.

“Port needed someone to stand up in the absence of Zak Butters and the skipper has done it.”

3: Tristan Xerri

“We have a new best ruckman in the competition.

“Dominated Max Gawn, he was good in Round 1 as well, he deserves his spot at number three.”

2: Finn Callaghan

“Drops down to number two (after GWS had the bye).”

1: Jordan Dawson

“He’s been unbelievable, highly skilled, lots of clearances, uses the ball so well, had two big games for the Adelaide Crows.

“He has got 20 votes from the coaches, and he’s got 20 votes from me as well.”

5: Geelong Cats

“Made it look second-rate in the first half. Slipped to number five.”

4: Brisbane Lions

“Not convinced yet on Brisbane. Beat west coast, beat Sydney but the Lions are the premiers and they are two and zip.”

3: Adelaide Crows

“Big movers, probably could be higher but we are just waiting for them to play some top line opposition.”

2: GWS Giants

“Keep their spot in second.”

1: Hawthorn

“Three wins, they are my highest ranked team at the moment.”

Rising Star Rankings:

5: Isaac Kako

“Was pretty good even in that loss. I think he is going to be a really good player. Just a goal kicker, a natural.”

4: Murphy Reid

“He drops down to position number four.”

3: Sam Lalor

“He drops down to position number three.”

2: Levi Ashcroft

“Has been pretty consistent across his first two (games).”

1: Xavier Lindsay

“There is good value for this bloke at the moment if you go and check the Rising Star market.

“He’s gone 22 and 20 and he’s used the ball pretty well, my favourite right now.”
