Hawthorn midfielder Will Day is set for up to four months on the sidelines after scans revealed a recurring stress fracture in his foot.

As reported by AFL Media's Josh Gabelich, the 23-year-old is set for surgery on his navicular bone, aiming to repair the same injury that saw the star miss the first six weeks in 2024.

The report suggests Day will be out until at least Round 15.

In four contests in 2025, Day has averaged 23 disposals and five clearances for the unbeaten Hawks.
