Darcy Moore will miss Collingwood’s Anzac Day clash with Essendon on Friday.

Magpies coach Craig McRae has confirmed that the premiership skipper won’t play due to an inner ear issue.

In last Thursday night’s win over Brisbane, Moore copped a knee to the head from teammate Jeremy Howe after he was pushed into a contest by Logan Morris.

He was subsequently subbed out of the game to receive stitches but was cleared of concussion.

“Darcy won’t play,” McRae said. “He’s got a bit of an inner ear issue.

“I’m not sure exactly what it is, he’s got a bit of vertigo symptoms at the moment.

“He’s had scans, he’s off to see specialists now to see what’s going on there, but he won’t play.”

The high-flying Pies, who sit on top of the ladder, have won five in a row in the lead-up to the 2025 edition of the Anzac Day clash against the 3-2 Bombers.
