The 2025 AFL trade period is here and there is plenty to talk about.

AFL Trade Radio is up and running and hitting the airwaves every day.

Follow us live throughout the trade period and we will bring you all the breaking news.

6:20pm - Curnow touring Sydney with key Swan 'all but certain' to join Blues

Will Hayward is now all but certain to join Carlton, reports SEN's Sam Edmund.

Hayward's openness to Blues was first reported by SEN's Tom Morris earlier today and it now appears that the forward will definitely make up a large part of Sydney’s offer to Carlton.

His teammate Ollie Florent is also every chance of being added to the deal after being told to assess his options by the Swans.

It comes as Curnow tours Sydney on Monday evening alongside his manager Robbie D'Orazio, with the star forward telling Nine News that he was keen to check out the club's HQ.

5:20pm – Swans forward open to being involved in Curnow deal

Sydney forward Will Hayward is open to being a part of a Charlie Curnow trade, reports SEN’s Tom Morris.

Morris says that Hayward and the Swans have been in discussions all weekend about his future while the player is holidaying in Brazil.

While Hayward is contracted until the end of the 2029 season, Morris says that the 26-year-old is okay with heading to Carlton should it be required that he’s involved to get the deal across the line.

The news comes as Curnow toured Sydney on Monday and completed a medical at the club.

Other Swans like James Rowbottom and Ollie Florent have been talked about in a potential Curnow trade.

4:28pm – Pies would consider trading De Goey

Collingwood would seriously look at trading De Goey this off-season, reports SEN’s Tom Morris.

While De Goey is contracted and wants to remain a Magpie, Morris thinks that the Magpies would consider moving him on if they received an ‘excellent pick’ in return.

Morris believes that equates to a top 10 selection in this year’s draft.

“I’m convinced if a club came with an excellent deal for Jordan De Goey, Collingwood would seriously look at it,” Morris said on Trade Radio.

“Potentially, with an excellent deal, I think the Pies would consider it after speaking to rival clubs.

“I think they’d want a top 10 pick at least for Jordan De Goey.

“It’s clubs like St Kilda and Adelaide, that’s who I think would consider it.

“I’m just watching this, it’s nothing more than that. Don’t think I’m saying he’s going to go or he wants out or the Pies want to trade him.

“But there’s enough noise around it now that rival clubs would make a move if they believed he could ge thim out.

“I think he’d prefer to stay, and it’s a long shot, but I’m keeping a close eye on it.”

2:40pm – Hawks defender has clubs blessing to explore market

Hawthorn defender Changkuoth Jiath has a mutual understanding with the Hawks to explore the trade market, reports Seven’s Mitch Cleary.

While Jiath hasn’t requested a trade, Cleary says there’s obvious links between Jiath and Hawthorn’s Zach Merrett pursuit, but Essendon aren’t the only club he could land at.

The 26-year-old has previously been linked to Carlton and is currently contracted until the end of the 2027 season.

He could move for more opportunity with six of his 20 games this season coming as the sub.

12:11pm - Charlie Curnow travelling to Sydney

Curnow will today head to Sydney to tour the Swans' facilities ahead of a potential trade.

The Swans have gone all in on securing Curnow from the Blues, floating several players along with draft picks as they prepare to launch a mega-deal for the superstar forward.

With Geelong growing unlikely to offer a deal worthy of Carlton's asking price, the Swans are in the driver's seat to land Curnow via trade, and will today launch their campaign within their four walls to Curnow directly.

Having completed a medical with the club yesterday, a trade for the star man is well and truly alive.

12:07pm - James Rowbottom to remain a Swan

Having been floated within the trade space over the past few days, James Rowbottom is now expected to remain put in Sydney.

According to Cal Twomey, Rowbottom is more than content at the Swans, and is expected to turn down any potential interest to remain a Swan in 2026 and beyond.

"I have just spoken to Matt Bain, the manager of James Rowbottom," Twomey told Trade Radio.

"He said James is going nowhere, He is staying at Sydney. He has passed that on to clubs today. He (James) has appreciated the interest of clubs but is staying put."

10:00am - Tigers defender lands out west

Richmond defender Tylar Young has been granted his wish, traded to the West Coast Eagles in exchange for Pick 38.

The 27-year-old has only managed 35 games in his three-year playing career, averaging 14 disposals and seven marks in his seven games for the Tigers in 2025.

Pick 38 heads to the Tigers, who also hold picks 3 and 4 in the upcoming draft.

8:35am - Dogs and Giants agree to pick swap

The Western Bulldogs have split their top pick in the upcoming draft.

Initially holding Pick 12, the Dogs have divided the pick into two, agreeing with the GWS Giants to attain Pick 14 and Pick 37 in the upcoming draft.

The move allows the Dogs to remain within the first round, while acquiring Pick 37 - likely to be used within a trade for Gold Coast's Connor Budarick.

Budarick requested to join the Bulldogs via trade early in the trade period.
